Accommodation

Accommodation options are available both on double occupancy and single occupancy within 3 to 5 minute walking distance from the hospital. Single occupancy rate is $1250 and double occupancy at $850. Once you have paid the Rotation fee, and the accommodation fees we will connect you to the landlord.

Description of the Rotation

Inpatient Hospital Rounds
  • Daily morning rounds.
  • Timings (Mon–Fri): 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Students may also participate in Saturday hours, if interested.
  • Schedule may vary depending on the attending physician.

 


 
Clinical Areas & Conditions Covered

Students will round on:

  • In-patients on the medical floors
  • ICU patients

You will gain exposure to conditions such as:

  • ARF (Acute Renal Failure)
  • CRF (Chronic Renal Failure)
  • ESRD (End-Stage Renal Disease) requiring Dialysis
  • Acid–Base Disorders
  • Fluid and Electrolyte Imbalances

Students may also be required to attend:

  • CKD Clinics
  • Hypertension Clinics

 


 
Interaction With the Healthcare Team

Rotating students will engage with:

  • Residents from the residency program
  • Nursing staff
  • Attending physicians
  • Faculty and subspecialty teams

These interactions help students understand comprehensive patient management and care coordination.


 
Academic Responsibilities

Students may be expected to attend:

  • Didactic sessions
  • Lectures
  • Grand Rounds

As part of the clinical team, students will:

  • Take detailed patient histories
  • Conduct physical examinations
  • Review labs and patient notes
  • Develop differential diagnoses
  • Create assessment and treatment plans (with supervision)
  • Follow up on all assigned patients daily
  • Participate in planning and executing patient discharges

 


 
Learning Experience

This rotation provides a valuable, hands-on learning opportunity for medical graduates aiming to become successful residents. It is specially designed to prepare international medical graduates (IMGs) for the US clinical environment through real clinical exposure and guided supervision. Students will function as clinical learners under a teaching attending physician.


 
Letter of Recommendation

At the end of the rotation, students may request a performance-based Letter of Recommendation (LOR) on official hospital letterhead.

Document Needed

• MMR • PPD (within 6 months) • Proof of Covid vaccine • Immunization records • Resume • Casual business attire or scrubs/Lab coat in hospital and clinics.

Refund Policy

Full payment is due 6 weeks before the rotation start date. You can also pay the entire rotation fee at the start without putting a deposit down. 50% of the amount will be refunded if rotation is canceled before 4 weeks of the start date. No refunds after that.
