ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation options are available both on double occupancy and single occupancy within 3 to 5 minute walking distance from the hospital. Single occupancy rate is $1250 and double occupancy at $850. Once you have paid the Rotation fee, and the accommodation fees we will connect you to the landlord.

Description of the Rotation

Emergency Room (ER) Rotation Overview

Shift-Based Clinical Experience
  • ER experience is provided in real-time shift work, similar to actual emergency medicine practice
  • Shifts range from 8 to 12 hours, depending on the attending’s schedule
  • Students will complete two Saturday/Sunday shifts during the month
  • All timings are subject to change based on attending physician availability
 
Academic Requirements
  • Students may be required to attend:
  • Didactic sessions
  • Lectures
  • Grand rounds
  • The attending physicians will share the full rotation schedule at the start of the program
  • LOR or SLOE can be issued upon performance
 
Clinical Learning Experience

This rotation offers a unique opportunity for medical graduates committed to becoming strong, successful residents.
Students will encounter a broad range of emergency and acute care cases and learn:

  • Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
  • Appropriate medical management (Rx/Mx)
  • Understanding of the U.S. healthcare system
  • Hands-on ER experience under the supervision of teaching attendings
 
Core Responsibilities

While working as part of the emergency care team, students will:

  • Interact with diverse patient populations
  • Perform detailed histories and physical examinations
  • Review labs, imaging, and clinical notes
  • Develop differential diagnoses
  • Create and implement management plans under supervision
  • Participate in discharge planning and follow-up coordination
 
Completion and Certification

At the end of your 4-week rotation, students may request a performance-based Letter of Recommendation (LOR) or SLOE on hospital letterhead.

Payment & Refund Policy

Please review the payment and cancellation terms carefully:

  • Full payment is due 6 weeks before the rotation start date
  • 50% refund if the rotation is canceled before 4 weeks of the start date
  • No refund if the rotation is canceled within 4 weeks of the start date
