ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation options are available both on double occupancy and single occupancy within 3 to 5 minute walking distance from the hospital. Single occupancy rate is $1250 and double occupancy at $850. Once you have paid the Rotation fee, and the accommodation fees we will connect you to the landlord.​

Description of the Rotation

Inpatient Hospital Rounds
  • Daily morning rounds.
  • Timings (Mon–Fri): 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Students may also choose to do Saturday hours.
  • Timings may change based on the attending physician’s schedule.
 
Clinical Areas Covered

Students will round on:

  • In-patients on the medical floors
  • ICU patients with Internal Medicine–related conditions

You will also learn about:

  • ARF (Acute Renal Failure)
  • CRF (Chronic Renal Failure)
  • ESRD (End-Stage Renal Disease) needing Dialysis
  • Acid–Base Disorders
  • Fluid and Electrolyte Disorders

Students may also be required to attend:

  • CKD Clinics
  • Hypertension Clinics
 
Dialysis Exposure
  • Students may participate in dialysis rounds at a nearby dialysis center.
 
Interaction With the Healthcare Team

Rotating students will interact with:

  • Residents from the residency program
  • Nursing staff
  • Attending physicians
  • Subspecialty teams and other faculty

Students will be involved in overall patient management and care coordination.

Academic Responsibilities

Students may be required to attend:

  • Didactics
  • Lectures
  • Grand Rounds

As part of the clinical team, students will:

  • Perform detailed patient history taking
  • Conduct physical examinations
  • Review labs and patient notes
  • Formulate differential diagnoses
  • Develop assessment and treatment plans (with supervision)
  • Follow up daily on all assigned patients
  • Participate in discharge planning and documentation
 
Learning Experience

This rotation offers a valuable, hands-on clinical experience designed for medical graduates who aim to become effective and successful residents. It prepares international medical graduates (IMGs) for the US clinical environment under the supervision of a teaching attending physician.

Letter of Recommendation

At the end of the rotation, students may request a performance-based Letter of Recommendation (LOR) on official Hospital letterhead.

  • Full payment is due 6 weeks before the rotation start date
  • 50% refund if the rotation is canceled before 4 weeks of the start date
  • No refund if the rotation is canceled within 4 weeks of the start date
