ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation options are available both on double occupancy and single occupancy within 3 to 5 minute walking distance from the hospital. Single occupancy rate is $1250 and double occupancy at $850. Once you have paid the Rotation fee, and the accommodation fees we will connect you to the landlord.​

Description of the Rotation

HOSPITAL IN-PATIENT ROUNDS daily in the morning. Timings roughly:

In-Patient Hospital Rounds
  • Daily morning rounds.
  • Timings (Mon–Fri): 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (may vary based on attending schedule).
  • Rounds are mainly conducted in:
  • ICU
  • Critical Care
  • Intermediate Care
  • Internal Medicine Floors
  • Students may also choose to do Saturday/Sunday hours.
  • Timings are subject to change depending on the attending physician.
 
Outpatient Clinic Exposure
  • Outpatient clinics held 1–2 times per week.
  • Each session lasts approximately 4 hours.
 
Procedures Students Will Observe

Students will observe and may assist in bedside procedures such as:

  • Endotracheal Intubations
  • Intercostal Drains
  • Paracentesis
  • Bedside Hemodiafiltration
  • Fiber-optic Bronchoscopies
  • CPR and Code Management
  • Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
 
Clinical Team Interaction

Students will interact closely with:

  • Residents from the residency program
  • Nursing staff
  • Attending physicians
  • Subspecialty teams

They will participate in patient management and the coordination of patient care.

Academic Responsibilities

Students may be required to attend:

  • Didactics
  • Lectures
  • Grand Rounds

While functioning as part of the clinical team, students will:

  • Take detailed patient history
  • Perform physical examinations
  • Review labs and clinical notes
  • Create differential diagnoses
  • Develop assessment and treatment plans (under supervision)
  • Follow up on assigned patients daily
  • Participate in discharge planning and execution
 
Learning Experience & Goals

This rotation offers a unique clinical learning experience for medical graduates committed to becoming effective residents.
It prepares international medical graduates (IMGs) for the US clinical environment through supervised, hands-on experience. You will train under a teaching attending physician and function as a clinical learner.

Letter of Recommendation

At the end of your rotation, you may request a performance-based Letter of Recommendation (LOR) on official Hospital letterhead.
