ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation options are available both on double occupancy and single occupancy within 3 to 5 minute walking distance from the hospital. Single occupancy rate is $1250 and double occupancy at $850. Once you have paid the Rotation fee, and the accommodation fees we will connect you to the landlord.

Description of the Rotation

Hospital Overview

Jackson Park Hospital serves a diverse population, including Caucasian, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Indigenous, and inner-city communities. Students gain exposure to a wide range of medical conditions with state-of-the-art diagnostics and treatment.

Hospital Rounds
  • Daily morning rounds
  • Monday to Friday, approx. 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Optional Saturday hours
  • Once a week, students may choose an on-call shift
  • Timings may change based on the attending’s schedule
 
Outpatient Clinics
  • Held 1–2 times per week
  • Duration: around 4 hours
 
Team Collaboration

Students work closely with Residents, Fellows, and Attending physicians, ensuring coordinated patient care.

Academic Requirements

Students may need to attend:

  • Didactics
  • Lectures
  • Grand rounds
 
Clinical Responsibilities

Students will:

  • Interact with diverse patients
  • Take detailed histories
  • Perform physical examinations
  • Review labs, notes, and patient updates
  • Formulate differential diagnoses
  • Create assessment and treatment plans under supervision
  • Follow up on assigned patients daily
  • Participate in discharge planning and execution

  • 50% refund if the rotation is canceled before 4 weeks of the start date
  • No refund if the rotation is canceled within 4 weeks of the start date
