ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation options are available both on double occupancy and single occupancy within 3 to 5 minute walking distance from the hospital. Single occupancy rate is $1250 and double occupancy at $850. Once you have paid the Rotation fee, and the accommodation fees we will connect you to the landlord.

Description of the Rotation

Clinical Responsibilities

You will see pediatric patients with common day-to-day concerns and ensure their vaccinations, milestones, growth, and development are up to date.

Rotation Schedule
  • Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., including a lunch break.
  • Saturdays: Optional — students may attend once a month for additional experience.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Timings may change depending on the attending physician’s schedule.

Students may also be required to attend didactics, lectures, and grand rounds, with details provided at the beginning of the rotation.

Hands-On Training

This is a fully hands-on rotation with:

  • Access to the EMR system
  • Note writing and documentation
  • Guidance and supervision from the attending physician
 
Learning Experience

You will encounter a wide range of pediatric patients with different conditions and learn their workup, diagnosis (Dx), management (Mx), and treatment (Rx).

You will also learn:

  • How to use the clinic’s EMR system
  • How to enter and manage clinical notes
  • Core concepts of the U.S. Healthcare System
  • How to work under the supervision of a teaching attending physician

This rotation is especially designed to help international medical graduates (IMGs) prepare for the US clinical environment and the USMLE pathway.

Professional Growth

At the end of the 4-week rotation, students may request a performance-based Letter of Recommendation on official hospital letterhead.

During the rotation, you will learn how to:

  • Communicate with diverse patient populations
  • Perform detailed history-taking and physical examinations
  • Review labs, charts, and notes
  • Formulate differential diagnoses
  • Develop and implement management and Rx plans under supervision
  • Participate in discharge planning and execution

  • 50% refund if the rotation is canceled before 4 weeks of the start date
  • No refund if the rotation is canceled within 4 weeks of the start date
