  • LOR TYPE – remove neurology or both and even bracket
  • physician affiliation – remove director of stroke unit and chairman of Neurology
  • Description – delete the existing one and add below 👇
  • This rotation involves 3 elements: first one is the hospital rounding second is the clinic you will be attending and the third is the nursing homes that you would be rounding in the area.
  • During “hospital rotations” you will be going to the hospital along with the Attending Physician and observing how patients are seen, how communication/ interaction is done with the patients and how a diagnosis and assessment/plan is arrived at to be executed. You will also observe Attending Physician facilitating the care for the patient through the nurses. You will also attend any inter service meetings or meetings with the social workers to arrange discharges and care for the patient.
  • When you are going to be in the “Clinic”, you will be 💯 % hands-on and will be independently seeing the patient and talking to them, doing history and physical examination, accessing the labs in EMR, forming your own assessment and plan, writing the notes in the EMR system. This is totally 💯 percent “hands-on experience”for you and will be very important in shaping your letter of recommendation and your experience of the Rotation.
  • During “nursing home rounds” also you will have total 💯 percent hands-on experience both in interacting with the patients, taking their history and doing physical examination and forming an assessment and plan.
