Description of the Rotation

Clinic Schedule
  • Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with a lunch break in between
  • Students will also attend 2 weekend days (Saturday/Sunday) per month
  • Timings are subject to change based on the attending physician’s schedule
  • The final schedule will be communicated at the start of the rotation
 
Academic Activities

Students may be required to attend:

  • Didactics
  • Lectures
  • Grand rounds
 
Clinical Exposure
  • Exposure to a wide variety of patients with different medical conditions
  • Learn patient Rx (treatment) and Mx (management) strategies
  • Hands-on experience with the clinic’s EMR system, including clinical note documentation
 
Training & Learning Objectives
  • Designed to prepare International Medical Graduates (IMGs) for the USCSE
  • Gain supervised, hands-on clinical experience
  • Learn the United States healthcare system under a teaching attending physician
 
Clinical Skills Development

During the rotation, students will:

  • Interact with diverse patient populations
  • Perform detailed history taking and physical examinations
  • Review labs, imaging, and patient notes
  • Formulate differential diagnoses
  • Develop and execute treatment plans under attending supervision
  • Participate in discharge planning and patient care execution
 
Letter of Recommendation (LOR)
  • At the end of the 4-week rotation, eligible students may request a performance-based Letter of Recommendation
  • Issued on official hospital letterhead

Payment & Refund Policy

Please review the payment and cancellation terms carefully:

  • Full payment is due 6 weeks before the rotation start date
  • 50% refund if the rotation is canceled before 4 weeks of the start date
  • No refund if the rotation is canceled within 4 weeks of the start date
