  • Hospital Overview
Jackson Park Hospital serves a diverse population, including Caucasian, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Indigenous, and inner-city communities. Students gain exposure to a wide range of medical conditions with state-of-the-art diagnostics and treatment.
  • Hospital Rounds & Schedule
  • Daily morning rounds, Monday to Friday, approx. 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Optional Saturday hours available.
  • Once a week, students may choose an on-call shift.
  • Timings may change based on the attending’s schedule.
  • Outpatient clinics held 1–2 times per week, duration around 4 hours.

Students work closely with Residents, Fellows, and Attending physicians, ensuring coordinated patient care.

This rotation provides a unique hands-on OB/GYN clinical experience for medical graduates committed to becoming effective residents. It is designed to prepare international medical graduates (IMGs) for the US clinical environment (USCSE) while learning the structure of the U.S. healthcare system.
  • Letter of Recommendation

At the completion of the 4-week rotation, students may request a performance-based Letter of Recommendation (LOR) on official hospital letterhead.

LOR Type: Hospital letterhead. LOR will be based on performance/sincerity and attendance.

  • Accommodation options are available both on double occupancy and single occupancy within 3 to 5 minute walking distance from the hospital. Once you have paid the rotation fee and accommodation fees, we will connect you to the landlord.

  • Payment & Refund Policy
  • You can book your rotation before 2 months of rotation start date by paying $350 deposit which will be counted towards your total rotation fees. If cancelled, it is nonrefundable.
  • ⁠Full rotation fee payment is due 2 months before the rotation start date.
  • You can also pay the entire rotation fee at the start without putting a deposit down.
  • ⁠50% if the total fees paid will be refunded if rotation is canceled before 4 weeks of the start date.
  • ⁠No refunds after that (within 4 weeks of start date).
  • Neurology Lab Exposure

Weekly On-Call Shift: Students may choose one on-call shift per week for enhanced clinical exposure.

Outpatient Experience: 1-2 clinics per week (approx. 4 hours each).

Residency Faculty: Work with Program Director and Teaching Faculty.
